So, I still have a few dessert recipes to share from my dessert party – and all of them lend themselves well not only to single serving desserts, but also even to bite-sized desserts, like I put together for the party! You can make this key lime mousse dessert ahead of time for easy serving when you’re entertaining, which is a critical detail for me. Key lime pie is one of my all-time favorite desserts, but it tends to be a bit heavy – this mousse version is nice and light with all the flavor. And best of all, it’s no-bake – just a couple minutes on the stove and some whipping is all you need!
We juice our own limes for this recipe, and my daughter just LOVES to “help” – but you can use bottled key lime juice if it’s available. I haven’t looked hard enough to find it, and plus – it’s all part of the bonding time in the kitchen, right? Haha.
If you’re juicing your own, pick up at least an extra lime in case they’re extra small – and they look pretty as garnish, too so an extra won’t go to waste!
You can print the recipe above on a sheet of 8.5×11 paper, or if recipe cards are more your style, I’ve got a free printable to offer you below! Print this on card stock for best results – I had prepared printable cards for the party, and I’m happy to share them with you guys, too!
