Hillary & Nate: Winery-inspired wedding invitation
Hillary & Nate’s winery-inspired wedding invitation suite holds a special place in my heart as I was also honored to be a bridesmaid in their September wedding. Held at Willow Harbor Vineyards in Three Oaks, Michigan; the reception venue plus the color scheme of gray, blush, and white set the tone for the design.
The invitation was foil stamped in white on a double-ply, gray, cotton stock and featured calligraphy by Calligraphy by Cristine and an ivy-design bordering the text. The additional pieces of the invitation suite were printed offset in gray on Mohawk White stock and informed guests of the details of this destination wedding. A blush liner and blush belly band tied the pieces together.
Wedding day details, all captured beautifully by Emilia Jane Photography, included a two-sided wedding program, a “Here Comes the Bride” flag carried by the dapper ring bearer, and “Love” print to be signed by guests and later displayed in the couple’s Chicago home.
The ceremony took place outside at the winery while the reception shined underneath a white tent lit in gorgeous blush tones. Each guest’s place setting displayed a gray, white, and blush menu while the tables were decked with a calligraphy table number and absolutely stunning floral by Kelly of Intertwine. Kelly had a major role in setting the decor and feel for the wedding and it turned out beautifully.
Escort cards were pinned to a lace-banded board that was created by Intertwine as well.
Now, I have to gush about this flowers from Intertwine just a touch more. Garden roses, succulents, dusty miller and just-picked, massive dahlias were used to create the centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnières, and more. And check out the adorable delivery of the bridesmaid bouquets! I really loved this detail.
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Hillary and Nathan Bartels! It was an absolute honor to be a part of your wedding day and support you in the journey of life and love!

Hillary surprised all of the bridesmaids with robes from Plum Pretty Sugar to primp in. Secretly, I had been wanting one of these so I was happy!
The maids wore Donna Morgan chiffon dresses in grey ridge in three different styles as I showed you prior to the wedding.
Although you may be tired of seeing pictures of Michael and I since our engagement pictures were posted, I can’t help myself. Kina Wicks assisted Emilia on the wedding day and captured the following images of us among the vines. It is not every day that we are all dolled up so I am grateful to have these.
