Garnier BB Cream & Garnier Caffeine Anti-dark Circles 2-in-1 Roll-on

I have had both of these Garnier products for a while now and thought it was time to review them. I have reviewed them together as that is how I use them and I think they complement each other fantastically. You can the the difference it makes to my skin at the end of the post. So what are they and what do they do?

First up we have Garnier's Caffeine Anti-dark Circles 2-in-1 Roll-on.
This is what Boots have to say about the product:
"Garnier Caffeine Anti-dark Circles 2-in-1 Roll-on has a 2-in-1 formula:
Moisturising eye cream & a cooling roller ball: refreshes and hydrates tired-looking eye. With mineral enriched pigments it instantly covers dark circles
Available in 4 shades to perfectly adapt to your skin tone: Very Fair Fair Medium Dark"

This is what the roll on looks like when the lid is taken off.

Then when applied to skin. You are supposed to apply this in circular motions under your eyes and then I tend to use my finger to blend it a little more into my skin and then reapply if needed. This is £10.49 from Boots.

Next is Garniers BB Cream. This is my second lot of this cream and since having my first, they have changed the packaging a little bit.

This is what they say over at Boots about Garnier's BB Cream

"Is Miracle Skin Perfector for sensitive skin right for me?
Yes, if you have sensitive skin and are looking for a skincare solution that answers all your needs in one simple step: soothe, hydrate, even skin tone, reduce the appearance of redness, boost radiance and protect with SPF 25. How is it different? Miracle Skin Perfector is a B.B. (Blemish Balm) Cream – a next generation skincare product which uses an all-in-one technology. It combines all the benefits of your beauty regime in one single step, with long lasting hydration and a touch of make-up for perfect looking skin in an instant. Save time with Garnier’s first B.B. cream suitable for sensitive skin. In one step it hydrates, soothes, unifies, illuminates and protects your skin. How does it work? Our hypoallergenic, fragrance-free formula has been specially developed for sensitive skin. It’s enriched with allantion, known for its soothing properties, and mineral pigments to instantly unify the skin and reduce the appearance of redness, while providing up to 24 hour hydration. The light weight texture melts perfectly into the skin providing natural, sheer coverage while still allowing the skin to breath. With an SPF filter, it helps protect the skin from the harmful effects of the sun.

How to Use

Smooth miracle Skin Perfector onto clear skin, as you would your normal moisturiser. To increase coverage, just add another layer!"

This BB Cream comes in an easy to use squeezable bottle at 50ml.

The cream is quite thick, so only a very small amount is needed to cover a larger area which in return means this product does last a long time.

This is how the BB cream looks when starting to be applied to the skin. As you can see the small amount has created a very heavy coverage on my hand.
This is currently on offer, reduced from £9.99 down to £7.49 (Jan 2013) over at Boots.
So let's get to the review.

Before:

This is my eye without either of the products and without any make up. As you can see I have quite freckly skin as well as slight discolouration under neath my eyes as well as some slight redness by my eyebrow.
After:

(Not overly sure why the quality of this photo is so bad, think my camera got a little sick of seeing my face)
The discolouration has calmed down slightly and looks a lot more toned and blended with the rest of my skin, though still very slightly purple. This is with just a medium layer of both the BB Cream and the Roll On, another use of the product would help to cover this up. My eyes at this point felt more awake and less puffy.
My freckles are still visible but the yellow tone has been calmed down dramatically by the BB Cream. It does leave my skin slightly shiny but on days when my skin is feeling dull and dry, this is perfect as it really does feel like it is hydrating my skin as well as making it look healthy and more toned.
Over all I love both of these products and look forward to using them each morning on a work day. I tend to use the BB Cream instead of foundation during the week as it is quicker and easier to apply than foundation. It can be built up to give a thicker coverage but applying thicker layers, but I recommend you don't use anymore than two, as you still want your skin to be able to 'breathe'. The eye roll-on is used by me every day I wear make up and is applied after I have used my primer/moisturiser.
