Being Zhenya
I have been thinking about writing this post all day yesterday. What am I going to say, how I am going to phrase it, and then decided to just let the words come out as I start typing.
I feel like blogging has become a major business and a money making industry. I feel and I know that Being Zhenya has become a collection of sponsored posts. I know I didn’t lose my voice, I just stopped expressing myself. I let the pictures substitute the words, and the posts became short paragraphs usually ending with an exclamation point. Real life isn’t always like that is it?
So I decided to make this blog more of a journal. The last giveaway I did I asked for some feedback, and I did it for a reason. I wanted to know what interests you the most. And you wanted to see more lifestyle posts, hear more tips and advice on style and accessories. I appreciate this feedback more than anything.
What does it mean for you? Sam will probably get mentioned in my posts a little more, as well as some of my friends. I will also talk about college, because that’s where I am at right now. The style posts will still come, as well as the beauty ones. I will also write more, and go on about my life. I want to make it personal again and I want to be able to talk to you.
On Wednesday one of my readers, Monica, came up to me at the U. She recognized me from my blog. And it was the highlight of my day! She was the sweetest person to talk to. And one of the first questions she asked me was if I still thrifted. Of course, I told her. I just don’t post about it as much. But I am bringing the hauls back We will also be relaunching Thrift Style Thursday in a slightly different format in January 2015, so if you want to join in the fun, let me know and we’ll get you started with us!
I have a lot of fun ideas for 2015, and I can’t wait to start this new journey with you all!
