Billion Dollar Brows Review // Makeup

Hi everyone! I'm sure you all have heard crazy makeup artists/enthusiasts lecture you on how important eyebrows are. They're way too passionate about eyebrows and have a large collection of products solely devoted to brows. I'm one of those people. Now don't get me wrong, I don't think my eyebrows are some magical furry beings that deserve praises by all, and I definitely am no brow expert, but I know what works for me and I like to think I know when a product is awesome. Today, I have some really awesome brow products to share with you from Billion Dollar Brows.
  1. Naked brows!
  2. Basic shape down then blended using the BDB Universal Brow Pencil
  3. Better defined shape, adios sparse patches, and pencil set thanks to the BDB Brow Brush and Brow Powder in Taupe. Used my trust BDB Brow Gel to tame those crazy brow hairs.

The holy grail brow brush. I didn't think there was all that much to a brow brush until I tried a few different ones. I thought I loved some until i tried this baby, it's seriously perfect and I'm not even completely sure why. While the spoolie on one end is super handy and useful every single brow application, it's the actual brush that's the real object of my affection here. The fibers aren't too dense so it doesn't pack on too much product at once. The angled tip is also extremely thin so you get nice, controlled, fine strokes which emulate brow hairs. Plus, the sleek design is beautiful, just an added bonus! I'd sooo recommend this to absolutely anyone!!!

The Universal Brow Pencil is a really great idea in my opinion. Christa, who I'm sure you all know is a gorgeous blonde, says this shade is perfect for her brows and I have to agree that it works really well for my brows as well. So, I'd say it definitely works for many different skin tones, hair colors, and undertones. The formula is slightly waxy which makes it last quite a bit. I really liked that the pencil is retractable unlike some other pencils I've tried. It also stay sharp so you don't have to worry about sharpening it ever so often (mine is flat because I stupidly put the spoolie cap on the pencil end). Although I liked this pencil a lot, it's not the best pencil I've ever tried. I wouldn't wear this alone because I'm more of a powder pencil or just powder person but it's a great product to have in my brow arsenal!

I've tried my fair share of brow products, some intended for use on the brows and others not. My struggle was finding a brow powder that wasn't too warm but also not too dark. My eyebrow hairs, although sparse, are naturally really dark, so when I'd wear a powder or pencil that was either too warm or just too light, it was extremely evident. While I still occasionally like to switch up my brow powder/pencil shade depending on my mood or makeup look, I've found myself reaching for BDB's brow powder in Taupe on a daily basis. It's perfectly pigmented and just the right shade for me.

Oddly enough, up until very recently I had only tried one brow gel (shameful, I know) but now I have quite a few! This clear brow gel works great at taming unruly hairs like my own. I sort of exaggerate the tail end of my brows and outline further out so I really like this gel for brushing those tail end hairs up to blend in with the penciled on ends. The gel doesn't create gross, stiff hairs which I really liked and it's not so shiny that it really makes the hairs stand out. I don't know if you guys have ever had that issue with a brow gel before but I have and it's not pretty! Overall a really nice, handy product!
Overall, I'm an enormous fan of Billion Dollar Brows' products; I cannot recommend them enough! I loved everything I tried, especially the brow powder and brow brush. I'm really eager to try some other products from them!!
