The Adventures of the Weekend

Rachael and a couple other bloggers have a cute new linkup called The Weekly Wrap Up. It seemed like the perfect way to share my weekend adventures :).

FRIDAY:

I stayed at the office a bit “late” (now that I work for the government late is what early used to be) on Friday so that I would have no excuse to not go to Yoga. The class was awesome. It went 10 minutes later than it was supposed to which annoyed me at first, then I realized those 10 minutes would help me make up for the time I’m missing on the 1800 Minute Challenge. Winning!

After I went over to {I’m not good at making up fake names for boys like Juliette. So I’m just going to go with an initial…} J’s house and we watched the first episode of Game of Thrones. The show was good but I do think there’s an unnecessary amount of boobs. I am pretty sure most of them were completely unnecessary for the storyline. He thinks (and wants me to) I’ll get hooked and can join in on their GOT parties. We’ll see.

SATURDAY:

This was my first Saturday after starting at my new job and I have to say, it already FEELS better. I didn’t have to work on the weekend, and I didn’t work a single 12 hour shift during the week. It’s crazy. I think I can get used to the public sector. I’m super busy during business hours, and then everyone goes home. It’s so much different than private practice and I keep getting the urge to enter my time for billing. Anyway, this is about Saturday…

If you’re looking for tips on editorial calendars I have a few helpful posts pinned on my blogging board, and am always adding new ones.

Because I actually had some brain power left in me I was able to go to a coffee shop and get some blogging done. I wrote a few posts, drafted out a partial editorial calendar, and read a few blogs. It was wonderful. <3

I had every intention of going to church Saturday night, but Seattle traffic had other plans. Even though we left with more than enough time, we were still on the freeway when service started. So frustrating! Instead we went to a coffee shop to kill time before a good friend’s 31st birthday party. You really can’t argue with a Saturday filled with a little blogging, a bit of coffee, and a couple glasses of wine with great people.

SUNDAY:

On Sunday we went hiking to this gorgeous place in Washington called Deception Pass. I’ll have to write a longer post about this place because it was SO gorgeous!!

What was the best part of your weekend??
