WIP Wednesday: Brrr

I'm back from Salt Lake City and Sewtopia, just in time for the Polar Vortex, year two. Ugh. I'll be blogging about Sewtopia soon, but for now let me just say that it was an amazing weekend, and the Sewtopia organizers rocked it—they thought of everything! Thank you, girls!

I spent most of my time at Sewtopia getting back to work on my Aviatrix Medallion, which I started last summer and haven't touched in months. I got another whole round of blocks done over the weekend. No idea if I'll be able to keep working on it now that I'm home, but I know I'll finish it eventually! It's nice to have a "fun" project to come back to every once in a while.

I bought a fair amount of fabric while I was in Salt Lake, but somehow I ended up spending even more on yarn! I guess the cold weather has me inspired to just hunker down and knit. I started a hat and this cowl in chunky baby alpaca yarn. As always, the challenge for me will be finishing them. LOL.

Hey, today's WIP Wednesday has been brought to you by Dragonfly Fabrics. Dragonfly has Katy Jones' Priory Square fabric just in, and lots of gorgeous exclusive bundles as well! Thank them for sponsoring WIP Wednesday by checking out their entire selection!

What are YOU working on this week? Here's how to link up:
1. Link up any blog post or Instagram photo from the past week that features an unfinished work-in-progress (WIP).
2. To link an Instagram photo, click the Instagram icon at the bottom of the link-up screen, and use the URL of your IG feed as the link (for example, my URL is www.instagram.com/freshlypieced). Please hashtag #wipwednesday and mention me, @freshlypieced. 3. If you are linking to a blog post, please link back here to my blog somewhere in your post. 4. Comment on at least a few of the other WIP Wednesday links, either IG or blog—commenting on the two or three links directly before yours works well to make sure everyone gets comments!

P.S. Just a quick schedule note—this week's Fair Isle Sew Along post will be on Friday, not tomorrow, because I am participating in the Robert Kaufman 30 Quilts for 30 Years blog hop tomorrow. So you should really come back on both days, right? : )
