A Glimpse of a Sweet Saturday

W has been stressed about work this week so we took it easy before our training long run tomorrow to prepare for our Paris marathon (which is coming up in a little over a month. Yikes!).

It was a beautiful Saturday with weather in the 70s. Yes, 70s in middle of winter. No excuse to be couch potato.

We started out the day visiting an open house (as we are still searching for THE house), which was newly renovated and ready move in, however, I am afraid we will face another bidding war with the number of buyers visited the house.

The rest of the day spent in the old downtown Pleasanton, that is only a few miles nearby the open house. The town has a lot of charm, and reminded me of the Old West. There are plenty of cute mom and pop shops that sell clothes, gifts, crafts, and kitchenware. I did some shopping at Therapy, one of my favorite retail stores that sells unique dresses, tops and funky decor.

We hit up Yolatea to stay hydrated and relax while people watching and reading magazines and sip on sweet honey green tea.

Dinner was at a hole in the wall restaurant, Gugu’s Pizza and Pasta, where the decor was super fun, where the service was super friendly, and where the food was ridiculously yummy. I think we are carbo loaded enough to get ready for our run.

Good night, everyone! Have a beautiful Sunday!
