Nagellak? Op een fashion blog?! Ja, fashion zal altijd de boventoon voeren op mijn blog, maar het leek me leuk om ook af en toe een beetje beauty te integreren op mijn blog. Ik ben geen beauty expert, maar ik begin me er wel steeds meer voor te interesseren. Heb je bijvoorbeeld al mijn

‘get ready with me’ video op YouTube gezien? Dat ik geen expert ben, is te zien aan mijn nagels: Te kort (ik kan ze best lang krijgen, maar dat vind ik zo onpraktisch dat ik ze er meteen afknip als ze lang worden) en niet bepaald netjes gelakt. Voor mijn doen is het echter best goed gelukt: Normaal gesproken zitten er haartjes en vingerafdrukken/vegen in mijn nagellak, dus ik ben best trots op dit kunstwerkje. Maar goed, wat ik jullie eigenlijk wou vertellen is: Hoe geniaal is deze Essence 101 dalmations topcoat? Ik ben normaal helemaal niet van de glitter en confetti nagellak, maar in mijn favoriete ‘kleuren’ (zwart, grijs en wit) vind ik het helemaal geweldig! Ik kocht deze topcoat overigens samen met een andere topcoat van essence (het was namelijk 2 voor 3 euro bij Kruidvat): Glow in the dark. Die vond ik te funny om niet mee te nemen. Omdat ik zo nieuwsgierig was naar het effect, deed ik ‘m meteen op. In eerste instantie ziet het er niet zo mooi uit, een beetje melkachtig, en het effect is pas in het pikkedonker zichtbaar: Oftewel als je in bed ligt. Mijn vriend werd helemaal gek van de lichtshow aan mijn vingers, dus die heb ik er de volgende dag meteen vanaf gehaald, haha! Ik wou jullie het glow in the dark effect ook graag laten zien, maar dit kreeg ik helaas voor geen meter op de foto.

Nailpolish? On a fashion blog? Yes, fashion will always dominate my blog, but I thought it would be nice to integrate beauty on to my blog every once in a while. I’m no beauty expert, not at all, but I’m starting to get more interested in beauty every day. For example have you already seen my ‘get ready with me’ video on YouTube? You can tell I’m no expert by looking at my nails: Too short (I manage to grown them quite long, but I find that so unpractical that I immediately cut them when they’re getting long) and not very decent polished. It actually not thát bad, considering the fact that I usually have hairs and finger print in my nailpolish. So I’m quite proud of this little master piece. Oh well, what I actually wanted to tell you is: How genius is this Essence 101 Dalmations topcoat? I usually don’t really like glitter and confetti nailpolish, but in my favorite ‘colors’ (black, grey and white) I think it looks pretty awesome though. I bought this topcoat along with another topcoat from essence (since it was 2 for 3 euros at Kruidvat): Glow in the dark. That one was to funny not to bring along. Since I was so curious to see the effect, I immediately put it on my nails. At first sight it looked a bit strange, a bit milky, and the effect is only visible in pitch-dark: When you’re laying in bed. The lightshow on my fingers drove my boyfriend absolutely crazy, so I immediately removed it the next day, lol. I actually wanted to show you the glow in de the dark effect, but unfortunately I didn’t succeed into capturing it on photo.
