Month of the Damned! Halloween DIY at HTHG

Hi babes. Things are getting witchy around here. I want to share some Halloween-y DIY witch inspiration with you. I’ve got to keep it a bit short because I’ve got SO MUCH TO DO RIGHT NOW, but I’m super excited to share this with ya.

I will be sharing photo inspiration from this shoot from now until Halloween on HTHG, so keep checking back:) The posts in the Month of the Damned series will be more photo-montage than written post, so use your imagination.

Last weekend, I did a shoot with some gals from work, Rain and Danielle. The theme was light witch/dark witch. They did all their own styling, hair, and makeup and it was all awesomely DIY. They found their own garments in their closets or at Goodwill, and used the makeup they had around.

First things first….We made mimosa’s. Duh!

Rain was the ethereal light witch. She put on light concealer, then face powder with grey blush and light gray around the eyes with a bit of pearly rose red in the inner corners. She mascara’d only her bottom lashes. She penciled her brows in with dark gray.

Then, she crimped her hair and did some little accent braids that we pulled apart a bunch to make look ratty.

Stay tuned for a full crimping tutorial coming soon!

Danielle was the beautiful dark witch. She had dark eye liner with red shadow, dark blue red lips, powdery face, and insane fire hair. For the shoot, Danielle put in some clip-in extensions and trimmed her bangs, then did some light back combing in her hair to get some volume going.

Stay tuned for her bang trim tutorial and clip-in extension DIY posts coming soon…….Once I get caught up;)

Oh yeah also, I spied this sweet ShamPHree setup in Danielle’s bathroom. #freeyourhair!

Lastly, as if the day couldn’t get any more awesome, a little pony appeared out of nowhere as we were wrapping up the shoot. #ponytime

enjoy the Month of the Damned!
