Valiant...... I love him.

We meet Valiant in Book #2 - Slade. Valiant is described as a large cat mix with a lion mane and a roar. Of course we are meant to think he is part Lion which is really cool. Valiant does not like humans and lives peacefully in the Wild Zone with others who are less human, more animal and dislike humans. So when Justice is throwing a party and Tammy's catering vans ends up at Valiant's Victorian house because she was given the wrong map, things could go very badly for her.

Valiant has his gaze locked on her. There is no where to go, no where to run. That is okay with Tammy because she is so terrified of Valiant's direct eye contact, the roar he is omitting and the fact that he is coming right for her, that she is frozen in place with fear. She is so terrified she cannot move or speak. She cannot take her eyes off of him. He has beautiful eyes and a beautiful body but it does not matter because she is still frozen to the spot. Tiger tries to help Tammy out of the situation but Valiant has plans of his own. He likes her smell and he wants a mate. He has tried other New Species woman but he has not be impressed. He is shocked to see that he wants to mate with this human.

Valiant takes her to his home and does his best to seduce Tammy. He tells her that he wants to keep her and she panics. Tammy runs for the door when she has the opportunity knowing that the NSO will be there any minute to rescue her and she does not want Valiant or any one to get hurt.

**SPOILER ALERT**
After 5 weeks outside of Reservation just trying to live her life Tammy's thoughts go to Valiant every waking moment. The time they spent together, even though it was brief, left quite the impression. A quick night out at the bar leaves Tammy in a bad predicament when she is kidnapped by 4 men. They heard from the leak inside of Reservation that she was taken by one of the New Species and raped. They say that she has been brainwashed and want her to make a video saying that these people are animals and need to be put down. ARE THEY CRAZY.........

NSO has been contacted by the local sheriff to help find the missing girl. Tiger informs Valiant since he knows her scent and he is brought to track and get her to safety. After the kidnapping incident Tammy only feels safe at Reservation and Valiant stays with her to protect her and she still belongs to him. SO HE SAYS.

The leak is more of a problem than ever as Valiant is tricked to leave Tammy and she is once again kidnapped. This time she is to be thrown to the wolves to be mounted. LITERALLY. The doctor on the outside is still doing experiments and some New Species. A there is a facility that is still active and they are still imprisoned. The doctor knows that she has been sexually active with one of the New Species males and thinks his 927 will mount her to breed. 927 is a canine mix and keeps killing his woman instead of mounting them. She will either be killed or be mounted by 927, he is the meanest of the Species they have ever seen. (I guess they never saw Valiant, haha)

Valiant is more than enraged about his mate being taken. The NSO prepare to rescue Tammy and the unknown facility that houses more of the imprisoned Species. Tammy tells 927 that Valiant will come for her and the NSO will find them and he will be set free. Tammy tells him of all the things that have happen with his people and that they are free from their prisons and living with their own rules. Tammy tells him of Justice and all the things that have been put in place to help the New Species.

927 is unhappy that Tammy is mated because he does want to mount her. He smells Valiant and tries to respect her and keep her alive until the help she talked to him about arrives. The humans keep pushing for him to mount her and the circumstances look bad. 927 will have to mount her soon and then they will take her for testing and if she is not pregnant they will pass her around amongst 9 of the Species males to impregnate her. 927 explains this to her and warns he ahead of time that she will be mounted if she wants to live, or the humans will take her from him and kill her because it is a failed experiment. Those are her only options.

The question is will Tammy be killed by the humans? Or will 927 be forced to mount her if she chooses to live? Or will Justice, Valiant and the NSO arrive in time to stop them.

Valiant is a tough character because he is more animal than man. But I can say that with the qualities of the ability to protect, defend, intimidate, and kill that is a man a woman would want. Add to that the fact that he is beautiful, treats her good, takes care of her, and is a sex God then you have a man that woman should be fighting over not running from. I like the relationship with Tammy she is scared of everything in the outside world, she does not take chances. But yet she chooses to stay with Valiant who scared her more than anything in her life. Valiant is sweet to her and we will only get to see that side of him when he is with a female that he likes which means Tammy and Trisha.
