Lauren has a secret. Colby has a problem. But when they find each other, everything falls into place.

Lauren is the new girl in town with a dark secret. Colby is the football hero with a dream of something more. In alternating chapters, they come together, fall apart, and build something stronger than either of them thought possible--something to truly believe in.

The Bridge From Me to You is a unique little story told in Duel POV between Lauren and Colby.
Lauren is a young girl who recently for unknown reasons, got sent to live in a small town with her aunt and uncle. Colby is the towns football star, but what everyone doesn't know is that he doesn't enjoy playing football one bit. both characters are struggling with their own situations and the fact that they both very misunderstood by the people who know them.
The story was Okay. I'm not a fan of the writing style, it is written in Verses.
Ex 1: "the eagles soar. It's the end of the game. the end of awe- inspiring dedication"
Ex:2 I don't want to chose Because the thing about choices? You get something while you lose something else"
Those Examples are how a lot of Lauren's POV is told in, so I feel like we as readers don't really get to know her. The details and descriptions are totally missing from her POV. Colby's POV is told more in actual story mode, but again the chapters are so short that you don't really get to feel like you know his character either. When I say short chapters I'm talking maybe sometimes they are 2 pages, but A lot of Lauren's chapter's aren't even that long.
I liked the idea behind the story, but I did not enjoy the execution. I wanted Lauren's aunt and uncle to have Lauren's side of the story (I know very vague, but no spoilers), I wanted more of Lauren's life, I just had so many questions about Lauren and none were answered. Onto the romance. Because I didn't feel a connection to Lauren or Colby, I also didn't feel a single thing for their romance. There was no chemistry between the two. ZIP ZILCH ZERO.
I don't know if I would recommend this to any of my friends. I know for sure I wouldn't go out and buy it for anyone.
