Ivy's 1st impression of Jon did not go so well. Jon was beating on a guy and telling him to pay up for some weed he bought from him. And she thinks he was the one having sex in the room she accidently walked into trying to find the bathroom. So drug dealer, MMA fighter, and manwhore. Those were along the lines of her thinking. Jon's 1st impression was BEAUTIFUL green eyes he could not get out of his head even when he was having sex with someone else.
Ivy sees Aaron at the party (her ex-boyfriends brother who has been harassing her for 2 years) and she tries to escape only to find herself in a bad predicament of being even more trapped and on the roof of a house. Jon spots her as he is about to leave for the radio station to do his campus radio show and helps her out of her situation. Jon is unsure why she was up there.
They talk and he sees her again in class and they become friends. They both want more but Jon knows that Ivy is shy about this relationship thing and is trying to take it slow. Jon also is not sure he can do a RELATIONSHIP thing. Ivy is not sure how Jon feels about her because he stopped calling but she still wants to be friends. His voice and presents soothes her. She feels calm and no headaches start up from the stress when she is with him. Something spooks Ivy and she calls Jon even though they have not spoken in a week he comes right over and helps her.
They get a rocky start but get into a relationship and really start to get to know each other. Jon and Ivy both share their pasts with one another and they both except them as is. They are falling in love. But Jon once again is not sure what to do with his feelings and leaves things on a HOLD in the relationship. Ivy is very understanding and always finds forgiveness for Jon.
Ivy has to stand up to Aaron to reclaim her life and she for once in her life feels supported at the college, unlike at home with her family.
Ivy reclaims her life, tackles her fears as best she can, and gets the man of her dreams. Jon starts to see himself through Ivy's eyes and realizes he is a good person, tries to be a better person for Ivy, and gets the girl that stole his heart.
It was a nice story. Not that many ups and downs just some minor bumps, which I like more sometimes than the rollercoaster of emotions.
