Ugly Love is hands down, without a doubt, my FAVORITE book of 2014. I have already reviewed it on my blog, but I reread it today (in a record 4 hours) and figured "hey I'll review this book over on Katrina's blog as well!"
Tate Collins is moving in with her brother, an airline pilot who is never home, while finishing up her Masters degree. When she arrives at her brothers home for the first time, she isn’t expecting to find a guy passed out drunk on the front door. She soon finds out the man passed out drunk is her brothers best friend and neighbor, Miles Archer. The two seem to not like each other one bit and the only thing they have in common is this strange attraction to one another.
What can I say, I Love Miles Archer. That man is one of the BEST EVER broken heroes. He has been my book boyfriend since I read my ARC of this book. I swoon over him, I'm pretty sure my husband is a little jealous of him! I have read this book 3x already just so I could get my Miles Archer fix. What makes Miles so irresistible to me? He is so completely misunderstood. He keeps himself a mystery, he keeps Tate at arms length, and he is everything you don't want in a guy. Including no strings attached sex. He wants no future that will involve having to love someone and he makes that perfectly clear. Who doesn't love complete honesty in a man? But who is Miles Archer? What has made him this way? Read the book and find out. Oh, did I mention he is a Pilot (yeah makes me giddy too)
Tate is adorable. She is a witty little firecracker, Whats not to love (besides that she is infatuated with my man) about this young lady? She is NOT a morning person, she is strong yet vulnerable at the same time. I really enjoy getting to see her interact with her brother, you don't get too much family interaction in books and seeing their relationship and his protectiveness over his little sister is a breath of fresh air. I also love that we do get to see a softer side to Tate when she is with Cap and really opens up. Speaking of Cap he is probably one of my favorite Secondary characters of the book. He’s kind of liker their own little Jiminy Cricket of the real world!
Colleen Hoover is a genius. I love her characters, her writing style, scenarios, plots. I have not one bad thing to say about Hoover's writing. I just want more! I hope to have Ian and Corbin's story as well. Please Colleen thats my Christmas wish.
Oh and if you didn't know Ugly Love is going to be made into a movie! Hooray!!!!
