Megan | Portrait Session

As photographers, bloggers, business owners--or whatever hat your wear-- it is important to shake things up every once in a while. To be creative for the sake of creativity. To try things a different way, or to try your hand at something you may think you couldn't do in the first place.
That is where I was at a few weeks ago-- I just was feeling stagnant after such a long, cold winter and wanted to create something beautiful. I was also excited to try taking photos and playing with the light a little more than I normally do. I grabbed some roses, crafted a quick floral crown, grabbed my friend, and grabbed my camera. I tried some different things, shooting things a little out of element, and what we got were some of THE most gorgeous photos. At least in my opinion :)
As I get ready to enter the business of wedding season, teach the upcoming Bloom workshop, and try to enjoy caleb's last few months as a true "baby" I think it is important to pause every once in a while and do things for myself. To shoot for the sake of being creative and igniting the passion that led me to this career in the first place!
What do you think of my floral crown? One of the roses fell off halfway through the shoot, but I think it worked pretty well!
