Favorite Work Supplies

I was definitely one of those who loved the smell of new folders and the sparkle of brand news pens at the beginning of school years. It's been over two years since I bought new school supplies though, so now it's just work supplied. And work supplies seems to only be new when you need it. There isn't a specific time of year you go get new supplies, it's just when one thing runs out, you replace it, simple as that. Regardless, I still love new work supplies and since everyone has been sharing their favorite school supplies, I thought I'd share my favorite work supplies!

Plastic See-through storage bags (perfect for storing all the finish samples for projects)
Desktop small calendar (I absolutely NEED this for quick reference, it's just easier to spot than the computer one)
Business card holder (mine is actually a giant paper clip my mom painted for me but I've see tons of cute ones like the one here)
Bags from Reps (ones with pen holders=my fav)
Ear buds (because we all near to blog out office noise from time to time)


I love both of those highlighters so they both had to be present in this round up. The zazzles are wonderful for a slew of bright colors. The sharpie gels are pretty cool if you've never tried them. They're more crayon-like, which means they don't bleed through the paper. They're great for highlighting red-lining.

I wish everyone could have an awesome 11x17 clipboard. My previous co worker, and friend, had her brother whip these up for us, and then she painted them with some adorable designs. If you can find one of these and you are a designer, GRAB IT! You won't regret it.

A good chunk of my supplies is often supplied to me by reps...gotta love those product reps! My favorite bag right now is the Patcraft one from this year's neocon, see here. Though Steelcase just gave me a sweet new one that is smaller and has a pen pouch. Reps almost always bring the best mini notebooks, bags, and lots of other random things (I recently got a leather taco...made for wrapping your ear buds around...I mean where do you get this?! love reps!).
