NARS Biscayne Park Satin Lip Pencil.

I spoke about my latest NARS purchase in yesterday’s haul post, so it was only fair I gave you a more detailed review of the product I’m calling my favourite lipstick of the moment. I have to admit that I’m not a big lip product fan, I know it’s usually something most girls are obsessed with but my lips are hard to look after and (as I’ll explain in a coming post) I’m not the best with bright, bright hues so lipsticks tend to be forgotten about at times.

I usually opt for quite wearable shades that work with my fair skin and blue eyes, and my latest purchase does just that. NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Biscayne Park (£17.50) is a long-wearing jumbo pencil that allows for easy application and lots of colour, I have a couple of the NARS pencils in the different formulas and I love them – some are soft shimmery pinks, some are juicy corals and others are even brighter – but Biscayne Park has to be my favourite. It applies beautifully; my lips are forever chapped and I can never seem to keep them in check. Luckily this has more of a coral undertone so it doesn’t show any evidence of an uncared for pout – yet it’s just so effortless.
The pencil makes application super easy, the soft pencil just melts on the lips and you can really get the shape of the lips just right, and I was surprised at how moisturising it was. My lips stayed nice and softened throughout the day, and the colour stay put for some time.

As you can see, the nude hue has an almost matte finish, with a tiny hint of gloss – I usually shy away from anything remotely matte on my lips but I find this works so well on me. It’s super easy to pull off and the warm, flattering tones make my skin look a little more tanned too somehow.

I definitely recommend Biscayne Park if you like a wearable nude, either for everyday wear or for pairing with a smokey eye come evening. It’s such a perfect shade and the quality of these pencils is perfect.

Have you tried these Satin Lip Pencils?
