This Week’s Most Loved… #81.

So my weekly selection isn’t looking too handsome this week, but with products this great, well who needs handsome? Right? Right…? I have a good mix of budget and sort-of-luxe this week, which is what I like.

To start with, I’ve dug out my much loved Jouer Matte Moisture Tint (£30) for this warm weather we’ve been having, I love this stuff as the finish is gorgeous and it’s really reliable, one thing I expect from good bases is long-lasting wear. I don’t want an oily T-Zone but lunchtime or to see the coverage slipping as the day wears on, so Jouer Matte is always a great choice for long days that turn in to long evenings too. Although this is called “matte” the finish is actually a lovely matte/dewy mix – the combination means it always looks natural. When I apply this it really looks so skin-like, and yet it manages to conceal just about every imperfection – from blemishes to uneven tone and even redness. I love!

Another old favourite is the NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Lodhi (£18) – this is truly the perfect coral! It’s a little more on the orange side, which allows for a really crisp, polished look to your makeup, especially at this time of year. The Satin Lip Pencils are just divine, the formula is incredible, creamy and yet a little matte but not chalky, you can glide them on for a softly glossy finish or tap off the shine for a matte result. No other lipstick tops these.

I picked up the Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Gel Liner (£6.99) this week as I needed a new eyeliner and I’ve been so impressed by it, it’s the easiest liner to apply ever (even for doing winged liner!) and it really lasts. I tend to find liner rubs off on me a lot but this is incredible, it’s so pigmented and really defines the eyes. If you’re not great at applying liner or find it doesn’t wear, I recommend this beauty.

Finally, I’ve had my Boots Build Up Removal Shampoo to thank for glossy hair lately – this treatment really is so good if you have fine hair or use a lot of products. I notice products building up in my hair so quickly, so using this once every ten days makes a huge difference.

Have you tried any of these?
