Kate La Vie

Recently Rediscovered.

It’s been too long since I last did a ‘shopping the stash’ post, but these are some of my most loved by other bloggers so it was only fair I contributed somehow.

For some reason I’m having a MAC moment right now, I just can’t get enough of a handful of products, which is unlike me. First up is the MAC Lightscapade MSF (£23) – I found this when I rediscovered its Soft & Gentle counterpart and I’m in love with them both. Lightscapade is a very, very subtle highlighter – in fact, I would probably call it a face powder really as I apply it all over. It’s a champagne shimmer that warms the complexion and really softens and perfects the skin tone. I sweep it all over the skin to set makeup and give my skin this lovely soft glow.
I would compare it to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders except I think it’s miles better and half the price.

Also on my MAC lust list is the Paint Pot in Groundwork (£15.50) – if you’ve followed my blog for a while (well done) you’ll know that I’ve been using this for years and it’s somewhat of a cult product for me. It’s such a lovely soft brown, and the almost-matte finish looks gorgeous smudged in to lower lashes. Me love.

I’ve also dug out the Origins Plantscription Concealer (£17), one of my favourite under-eye concealers as it really lifts and brightens around the eyes, and does it all without creasing or looking caked during the day. I love how easy this is to blend and it looks beautiful both under or over foundation – definitely one to check out if you need a lil extra help in that department.

Finally, one of my all-time favourite cleansers; Elemental Herbology Bio-Cellular Super Cleanse (£26), which is another long-term favourite of mine. I’ve been through tubes and tubes of this and I really think it does wonders for my skin. It’s a milky cleanser and it removes every trace of makeup, so it’s a lovely evening option. It’s also packed full of skin-loving nutrients to help improve the condition of the skin, and I think it really helps with blemishes for me.

Have you tried any of these?
