The New Spot Treatment.

I’ve mentioned here and there that my skin has been breaking out lately, so I took to Space NK to find a little suhin’ suhin’ to help the problem. I picked up a pack of ‘spot stickers’ on a whim, and they’re already worked some serious miracles on my skin.

These Sarah Chapman Skinesis Spot Stickers (£19) are actually the first thing I’ve tried from the brand; although I’ve heard a good bit about Sarah Chapman, the products seem quite pricey for a simple cleanser or toner and I’m not yet concerned with anti-ageing – especially as I seem to have the skin of a 13 year old. So, when I spied these spot stickers I thought I would kill two birds with one stone (most morbid saying ever) by trying something from Sarah Chapman and also hopefully take down the beasts that are currently ruining my face. Yo.

I have to admit that at first look, these do look a bit gimmicky. Sticks you put over spots to heal them? Hmm. Anyway, the stickers themselves are super easy to use – you can see from the little diagram there that you basically just stick them down with a bit of the plastic packaging. It’s pretty hard to mess up, but obviously you don’t want your dirty paws touching the sticky side of the tab. Overall, super easy.
The stickers themselves are super thin, so you actually can cover the spot and yet still not see the sticker on the skin AT ALL. Seriously, I stuck one down and I couldn’t find it again. Out came the magnifying mirror. Almost. I think the idea is that you can use them during the day for an extra dose of treatment while also hiding away your blemish – which is a great idea as they do completely cover even the monstrous ones, but I just used them overnight instead as I was wary incase they peeled off under my makeup. I shall test this soon though. Promise.

From first use, this truly made a huge difference to the size of my spots. They really took down the swelling, reduced the redness and healed them up pronto – even the nasty under the skin ones. They really do work a treat, I was pleasantly surprised at how much of a difference they made to blemishes.
They’re formulated with salicylic acid and other spot-fighting ingredients that are released over time in order to really speed up the healing time of spots. They’re priced at £19 for 16 stickers, and they do say to replace them every 4 hours – I wouldn’t do this because I’m not made of money, but one used on the big ones overnight really makes a difference for me. Of course, they’re still not cheap but I think I’ll use them before a big event rather than willy nilly.

They come in a nice white leather case that can be stored on your bedside table for nightly applications, and they’re not too fiddly to use regularly. I would definitely repurchase because they really do work a treat.

Have you tried these or anything similar?
