Kate La Vie

A Space NK Splurge.

Who loves a haul? Kate loves a haul. I recently took myself off to Space NK to see what was new in, and ended up with a small basket of goodies. I recently posted about one of the purchases, but here’s a couple of other treats I managed to score…

First up, the AESOP Resurrection Hand Balm (£19) – a definite blogger staple that I’ve been lusting after forever. I spied this on Meg’s desk while rummaging through her makeup not so long ago, which meant I was just itching to get my paws on it. Space NK here in Glasgow has a few new brands in (Aesop and my beloved R Co amongst the new additions) so I saw this as a sign from a higher power.
The hand cream itself is just beautiful – I have a hand cream obsession because I spend 90% of my life washing my hands. I wouldn’t say I’m overly picky about the hand cream I use, but I like it to smell lovely, sink in quickly and really quench that parched feeling. This little gem has got that covered, it smells divine – a really natural scent too, nothing chemical-y – and makes my hands feel like a dream. It’s intensely nourishing without the greasy feeling and I’d absolutely say it’s worth that eye-watering price tag. Oh, and don’t even get me started on that packaging. Talk about an Instagram prop.

The other skin treat I bought is actually a repurchase – a re-repurchase to be precise. The Elemental Herbology Facial Detox Mask (£27) is one of my favourite clay masks, it’s perfect for giving skin a good clear out throughout those hormonal patches when skin seems to lose its shit.
This is truly a skin saviour, it manages to clear out pores and decongest the skin and even leave the complexion looking clearer and a little brighter with regular use. I try to use it a couple of times a month, which is easily done as it works so well on an awkward, oily or blemish-prone skin type.
Unlike so many other masks I’ve tried, this doesn’t leave my skin looking or feeling tight or dehydrated.
Of course, Elemental Herbology pack in so many skin-loving botanical ingredients in to their products so they’re a dream to use. Any signs of a breakout and I just sweep it on to cleansed skin and leave to dry – I soon feel loads better about my complexion.

Have you tried either of these?
