Skincare On Trial: New In.

This blog has seen a complete lack of skincare in recent weeks, so I knew it was time to turn things around by introducing you to a number of new additions to my skincare stash…

I’ve definitely been taking care of my skin, as always – I’m prone to breakouts at the moment and I have a little clump of angry blemishes that are sure to scar so I’m trying to give them a little more attention to avoid the inevitable dark marks as much as possible! For this, I’ve started using the REN Clarifying Toner (£12). I love using exfoliating toners like this as I think they do so much for the skin, helping to decongest a clogged complexion and sweeping away other impurities making the skin appear dull.
This is gentle enough to be used regularly and really helps my skin to look a little clearer and brighter. I’m using it a couple of times per week at the moment, and I’ve seen some impressive results so far. Here’s hoping it can help with that scarring!

Another complexion saver I’ve been sticking to lately is the new Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush (£79) – this is Clinique’s take on the much talked about Clarisonic. I’ve been using the latter for years now and I’ve always been a fan, but I’m definitely reaching for the Clinique offering now I have it. This option is far more gentle on the skin, and it’s so lovely to use – there’s two types of bristles on the head so you can slant the brush depending on the area. The white bristles are softer and are for the cheeks and chin, while the green bristles are slightly more deep cleansing to take care of the T-zone.
I’m hooked so far, the brush leaves my skin feeling super soft and I haven’t broken out from using it!

Also here is the new Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum (£46) a pricey buy that has been soothing and saving my tired eyes. I’m one of those people who has to set an alarm at the weekends otherwise I’ll never wake up, I could sleep for weeks and still look and feel tired. I love this serum as it actually re-energises my tired eyes, helping them to look brighter and super soft. I actually prefer this to the ANR serum, it works miracles on dull, dehydrated eyes and it applies like an eye cream so it feels beautiful to lightly tap on to the skin.

A rather opulent edit of my skincare favourites, but definitely some wishlist inspiration for you there. Have you tried any of these?
