My Most Worn Jewellery.

It recently dawned on me that I own quite a lot of jewellery, for someone who doesn’t often wear that much jewellery. Upon sorting through it, I thought it was time to post about some of my favourite pieces.

Last week I told myself that I was going to start wearing more jewellery – I like to give myself little tasks each week and I really hadn’t been making much effort on the accessories front, so I knew it was time to up my game. Is that really weird? I’m unsure. Anyway. On a day to day basis I probably wear just one necklace and my beautiful Daniel Wellington watch – pretty boring but easy and less decisions to make in the morning.
I do occasionally wear rings but I wash my hands a lot and they get in the way so I usually stick to one statement ring, rather than a few on each hand – I’d love to be one of those people with hands weighed down by chunky rings but I’m a practical person so it would annoy me quickly!

I’ve also just started wearing earrings again; I have three holes in each of my lobes so I bought some tiny studs from Accessorize to go in and I really love it, although it did take some getting used to! Sleeping with earrings in is weird, but I know if I took them out I wouldn’t put them back in again.

Of course, everything here is old and most can’t be found in stores anymore, but I’ve searched the internet for some similar pieces. I love wearing either long pendants with a simple charm on them – usually a pineapple – or gold chains. I do love a good statement necklace too, anything that stands out a bit without looking tacky is my kind of thing.
I also wear both silver and gold jewellery, I don’t really have a preference… although perhaps gold is a little more flattering on me, now I think about it. I like silver earrings and gold necklaces generally, though I’m open to anything as long as it doesn’t look cheap or leave my fingers green.

For jewellery I only shop on the high street, I love Accessorize, Topshop, Miss Selfridge, ASOS, New Look, River Island, Rock N Rose and H&M. Come to think of it, I’m probably the only girl in the world who doesn’t own any expensive jewellery – obviously everyone deems me way too careless!
