Diptyque Résine Candle.

I seem to stockpile on candles at this time of year, I love the flickering warmth they add to a room come dark, cold evenings – spent with my cat. I’ve tried quite a few candle brands and one I always come back to is of course, Diptyque! And not just for the packaging, either. I got my paws on a sultry little festive offering this week and my house has been smelling divine ever since…

Diptyque Resine Candle (£40.50) sits as part of the brands Christmas collection, as you can see it’s even more beautifully packaged than their main line releases – who knew that was even possible eh. The packaging was actually designed by artists under the name of Qubo Gas, and I adore the oriental feel to the jar – matte olive green glass with slashes of gold. Beaut.
I have to say, this is a delicious fresh scent that has a touch of seasonal charm. I like it because it’s not your obvious Christmas scent, it’s actually very calming and crisp – with notes of bark and pine for that dreamy Christmas tree fragrance. It’s a little floral and very comforting, perfect for regular burning.

This is definitely something to add to that ever-growing Christmas list – I always ask for Diptyque candles for Christmas because I think they make such a good gift, and it’s so hard to go wrong with such a faultless brand. Of course, I’ll be reusing that beautiful jar too, I expect as a pen pot or brush holder for sure – any way I can to show it off.

Are you a Diptyque fan?
