Five of Friday: Favorite Podcast Episodes

I'm quite late jumping on the podcast bandwagon but have started listening to them more more while I work. I wanted to share five of my favorite episodes that are somewhat travel related with you today. They all happen to also be featuring people who are creatives don't have normal 9 to 5 jobs, which is probably no surprise why I find them so interesting. Hope you'll give them a listen.

1. Anne Ditmeyer on After the Jump from Grace Bonney of Design*Sponge: I listened to this one when it broadcast back in April and since Anne Ditmeyer is an American currently living in Paris, I was riveted by everything that she had to say. Chock full of great information. I was lucky to meet Anne in August and her social media outlets remain a huge source of design inspiration.

2. Taking Risks on One Part Podcast from Jessica Murnane: Jessica is a friend from Chicago and an incredible person. She's just the coolest of the cool who goes out and makes things happen. She recently started a podcast and I'm loving it. This episode with Jourdan Fairchild made me cry. I got really choked up hearing Jourdan talk about volunteering to help provide clean water in Africa. Her story is very inspiring. Also click over to Jourdan's e-book called Fly DIY, which is full of crafts for the modern traveler.

3. Being Good at What You Do on One Part Podcast from Jessica Murnane: my number two recommendation from Ms. Murnane is one with another Chicago buddy, Max Wastler. Max's personal story that he shares is so interesting... he's had 33 jobs in 33 years. Max recently started a video series on AOL called Made Right Here, showing a closer look at great products made in the USA. I loved the perspective Max shares.

4. Pursuing the Creative Quest on Elise Gets Crafty from Elise Blaha: I listen to Elise's podcast every week. She always has guests that give such good information and it directly applies to my life/business/work. This episode with Chris Guillebeau especially sucked me in since Chris has visited every country in the world. Yes. Every country! He talks about that adventure in the podcast, and man, I think it's so cool.

5. Our Biggest Travel Mishaps on Extra Pack of Peanuts from Travis: I want to go back and listen to every episode of this podcast. Travis comes up with great topics for all varieties of travelers and I love hearing about so many adventures. I particularly enjoyed this episode since I shared my own worst travel story and it's always good to hear that you're not the only one who runs into roadblocks. Literally.

Have any recommendations for me others? Leave them in the comments for us all to enjoy. Happy listening and have a great weekend!
