Keeping Up with the Cambridges- September 7

Goodness gracious it has been a slow Royal watching week! Seems like the Cambridges are doing a bit of hiding lately, but that is alright because we have some new engagements on the calendar, and some too-cute-for-words pictures of George to look at in the meantime…

This Week:

  • Sept 1- When mummy is away, Georgie will play! On Monday, Woman’s Day New Zealand revealed photographs of Prince George and his nanny Maria enjoying a fun filled day in the park. Now that Cheeks is fully walking, sitting quietly in his stroller just won’t do for this little man! He was pictured playing with his soccer ball, and leading the way with Maria in tow. Temperatures must be dropping in London because he wore an adorable white jumper with crabs on the bottom from London based The White Company over a navy collared shirt, and navy cargo shorts. The jumper has since sold out….looks like the George effect is in full swing!

RepliKate

While browsing the racks at Banana Republic in search of clothing for my upcoming London trip, I spotted this great repliKate for the military style Alexander McQueen blouse that Kate wore originally in 2011, and most recently in June to Bletchley Park. It is a fabulous piece to add to your wardrobe and the fit is very flattering. It may look black in the picture, but it is definitely navy in person! Go forth and shop my friends.

Next Week:

  • September 8- On Monday, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will open the Dickson Poon University of Oxford China Centre Building at St. Hugh’s College. William and Catherine will tour the facility and participate in a ribbon- cutting ceremony.
  • September 10- On Wednesday, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will join Prince Harry, Prince Charles, and the Duchess of Cornwall at the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
  • September 11- On Thursday, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will attend a drumhead service launching competition at the Invictus games. This services recognizes fallen veterans and injured servicemen who participate in the games.
