The cure for Sunday evening blues

Nothing to Disclose
Hello, all! I've got a bit of the Sunday evening blues so I decided to combat that and paint something simple, bright and fun to get me through tomorrow. This will be a quick post since I plan on spending the rest of the evening catching up with a good book :)
So, without any fuss at all, here are my sunflower nails!

I started painting these with the intention of them being daisies, but the coloring took them to sunflowers and I think I like them. I tried to come up with something that could work between the flowers (leaves, polka dots, etc), but I thought I'd keep them on the simpler side for once.
I started with a base of China Glaze's Kinetic Candy which is one of my favorites of the turquoises they've made. It's similar to the ever popular For Audrey, but it's a more greyed out version of it. I used yellow, orange and burnt orange acrylic paints for the flowers as I'm still excited about using all my new colors. I started with the yellow as my base and followed that up with the orange accents. I added in the burnt orange centers to pull it all together and I think they came out nicely.
I hope everyone has a great Monday and a great week. Hopefully you're all enjoying your Sunday evening (or your sleep!). I'm off to enjoy the rest of the night :)
Happy Polishing! :)
