TRAVEL: THE WILLIAMSBURG FLEA

A big hi hi hi from the big apple! I landed in this crazy city a few days ago (although it feels like weeks because of the all the multitasking) and have being enjoying every moment – a few fashion week related jaunts as well as quality time spent with my brother and general ramblings around this amazing city. As you’ll know, markets are always number one on my hit list, and it wouldn’t be a trip to New York without hitting one of this Brooklyn Flea Markets. You’ll remember that last time I checked out the Fort Green one, and so this time decided to give the Williamsburg one a go. I wasn’t disappointed!

When:

The markets are on every sunday, but make sure you check out the official website as there are often lots of other amazing offerings happening in the area such as Smorgasburg.

Get there:

The Williamsburg flea is located at 50 Kent Ave and is incredibly easy to get to – simply take a subway on the L line to Bedford Avenue, then walk a few blocks along North 11th towards the water and you’ll find it easily.

Best for:

I was super impressed by al the different wares you can find at the market – vintage clothes, rugs, gifts, pottery, antiques – all with that element if hipness that’s abundant in Williamsburg. There’s also a food section of the market with stalls selling a plethora of cuisines, perfect for a nosh post shopping.

I’ll let the pics speak for themselves!
