#DIY Spring/Easter Wreath

I am the queen of purchasing dollar store wreaths. I think I have owned every one they have had at one point or another. This year, I just couldn't find one I liked. They were either too big, or not exactly the colors I wanted. So to stop the picky nature I have, I decided to make my own. Here is what you will need if you want to as well.
I bought all this stuff at Michael's. The smallest ring I could find, green ribbon, a glue gun and sticks, plus the flower bunch. Also not shown, I used the elastic ribbon from Christmas time as a hanger. You will see that at the end.
First you take the ring and wrap the green ribbon around it. I used some glue to hold down the end before wrapping, just to secure it.
So you have it wrapped and ready.
Next you cut the stems of the flowers. You won't need the bottom parts with the leaves, just the top part with the flowers.
See the seams where you wrapped the ribbon around the ring? That is where you will gently push the flower ends into. I put flowers in every other one or every third one. That spreads them out some and doesn't make it too busy. You can glue the edges down after you put the flowers in, but if you put them in far enough, you shouldn't have to.
Then, it should look like this:
You can see the elastic green Christmas ribbon now. I used the glued part in back to gently slide the elastic ribbon through and create a hanger.
It's fastened and holds up nicely. It took me only a few minutes to make and the materials were inexpensive.
I really like the finished wreath. It looks great on my door.
So tell me, will you get a wreath for your door, or make one of your own?
