Food Find Friday // Enjoy Life Seed & Fruit

Heeeyyy. Is Friday, and you know what that means! Another food review!
Todays spotlight shines on to (drumroll please) Enjoy Life Foods Seed and Fruit mix. woop-woop. If you'll recall, I reviewed this particular set of snackable items back in 2012. Enjoy Life has since rebranded their packaging, and here I am once again. You can go ahead and click here for the original review.
Because the recipe remains the same, I am going to focus on some exciting things you can do with the Seed and Fruit mix. Other then shove it in your face by the handful that is.

There are two flavor combinations, one being the Mountain Mambo shown above, and the Beach Bash, below.

The Mountain Mambo mix contains sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, chocolate chips, apples and cranberries. The Beach Bash is a blend of sunflower kernels, pineapple, pumpkin seeds, cranberries, and apricots.

The first thing to do with this food item, is to just eat it obviously. Lucky for you, Enjoy Life makes handy-dandy individual serving packets, just for your snacking pleasure. I like to pack one of these beauties for a little mid-afternoon snack. Or a mid-morning snack, makes no difference really.

You can also use some of the Beach Bash mix as an addition to your lunch salad. You could use the Mountain Mambo instead, I suppose but chocolate in salad....I dunno. If your into that I guess. I added some of the seed and fruit mix to a simple spinach salad, topped with grilled chicken, strawberries, green apples, and a balsamic dressing. Easy peasy.
You can also add either mix to this roasted butternut squash dish, for a perfect Thanksgiving side. In fact, I most likely will be making this as a Thanksgiving side dish. You can get that spankin' new recipe printable here.
Now here we get in to desserts. AND LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT IT. Sorry for shouting. But stir in some of either mix with melted Enjoy Life chocolate, and wham. A sweet, salty crunchy, smooth deluctable treat. Really, so good. Just let it cool and harden, then break into pieces. Even a caveman could make it.
Another tasty chocolatey treat, right over here. This one requires a little more effort, but still incredibly simple. For you, I have a printable recipe.

So my friends, there you have it. Another fabulous product.
You can see other Enjoy Life Food reviews right over here.
Enjoy, and have a happy weekend! xoxox
