Slow Cooker Huli Huli Kitchen

A traditional Hawaiian grilled chicken gets a makeover as an easy and amazingly delicious slow cooker dish! This Slow Cooker Huli Huli Chicken is packed with flavor and takes just minutes to prep. Perfect for an easy dinner with little effort!

It appears that Summer has arrived in Cleveland with temperatures in the 90s this week, including unbearable humidity. To top it off, I turned on our AC this week and less than 24 hours later, it was obvious it wasn’t working properly. I’ll be honest, being hot makes me very irritable. I was willing to give Cleveland a pass on this past Winter’s weather, but the humidity? That’s a no go.

And if there’s one thing I don’t want to do when I’m hot, it’s spend time in the kitchen preparing dinner and heating the house up by preparing something in the oven. Instead, I love to be able to put ingredients in my slow cooker and have dinner waiting for me in just a few hours.

This Slow Cooker Huli Huli Chicken is the perfect Summer meal, prepped in a matter of minutes thanks in part to Perdue’s new PERFECT PORTIONS® Mesquite Grille Seasoned Boneless, Skinless Breasts By using chicken that’s already been marinated for great flavor, I’m able to focus on the sauce that they’ll be cooked in.

Huli Huli Chicken is typically a grilled, Hawaiian dish but my slow cooker version keeps me inside where it’s nice and cool. Chicken breasts slow cooked in a sauce of brown sugar, garlic, ginger and ketchup. The end result? Nothing short of delicious!
