A Quick Note from Kam

Last week’s email to the Campfire Chic mailing list (A quick ‘thank you’) reminded me of something kind of important…it’s the start of the holiday season! It’s that time of the year where we are extra vocal about the things for which we are thankful and all that jazz. With Thanksgiving being yesterday, I wanted to share a quick post today.

Thanksgiving means a handful of things to me that may have nothing to do with the holiday…it means:

  • (hopefully) one last heat wave before Southern California “winter” finally settles in
  • unapologetically listening to holiday music in the office
  • the start of find-any-excuse-to-eat-junk-food season has begun
  • I better make sure I actually own something decently warm in case Alex and I decide to go somewhere cold in the next few months (spoiler alert: the answer is YES, we’ll be cold on at least one trip)
  • trying to convince somebody to let me make the turkey. I may not be good at cooking many things, but I’m pretty good with turkeys
  • waking up in my parents’ house the next morning and catching online deals before leaving the comfort of my sleeping bag (I get extra cold at their house)
  • not matching for family photos
  • scoring deals on gifts for the families we “adopt” through our workplaces (We have “giving trees” at our workplaces where you adopt a family or just the kids and you buy them things from their wish lists. These are usually lined up between our work and local community agencies)

So here’s to you. Thank you for supporting me by reading here, by sharing these posts on your social media accounts, by sending me links to articles you think I’d dig, by joining #30Lists and #sparkecourse. For everything. I enjoy sharing things and hope you continue to stick around. Again, thank you.
