Bloggers Keeping Bloggers Accountable | Monthly Goals

Good morning friends. I am so excited for this day to finally be here. I love getting to look back at each month and see what I accomplished and achieved and am so excited to have some of you join us this month for the Bloggers Keeping Bloggers accountable link up. Writing down your goals is definitely one way to help you keep yourself accoutable. I try to print mine out so that each month I can mark through them. Even better than that though, is having someone that you can text when you aren't feeling motivated, or email if you need some help getting something accomplished is a must.

That's where this link up comes in. Not only do we want you to write down your monthly goals but we want to be there to help you check them off or get them started. You can be as brief or as thorough as you like. I've found when I make specific goals, I tend to be able to focus and get them done but that's only what works for me. Write them down, print them out, and get find some new friends to help keep accountable. We will be going live with the next link up on Monday, March 3 to see how we all do this month. Here is an example of how I have been doing my goals each month.

January's To Do List.
  • Put my husband first. Always a work in progress.
  • Have a no spend January thanks to the awesome link up created by my friend Erin and friends.
  • Do something active at least 3 times a week. Did great up until the last week.
  • Spend a long weekend with a few of my favorite friends. You can read here.
Yes, that boy is creepin'
  • Be a more excited and passionate teacher. This is a work in progress but we definitely got the year started off on the right foot.
  • Go to visit my family at least once. This is something I hope to do each month.
  • Attend church service. It's amazing what a difference it makes to start my week.
  • Find new recipes to try. I feel so sorry for my husband.
  • Drink less Dr. Pepper and take my vitamins daily (Hi, my name is Ashley and I am 6). I have to admit I am pretty proud of this. I probably had a total of 10 Dr. Peppers all month. This is huge considering I use to drink at least 6 a day.
  • Practice my photography to get ready for a wedding I'm doing in June!!!
  • Do more creative things to keep myself occupied.
  • Send 5 pieces of snail mail.
  • Blog for a purpose. This was definitely a great goal because it reminded me that I don't HAVE to write every day but when my heart and mind is ready.
  • Take Tilly for a walk as often as the weather permits. I am a bad dog mother. Poor Tilly although I think I did her a favor because she's not a huge fan of walks and she does NOT like cold weather.
February Goals
  • Take time each day to show Michael how much I love him, especially since it's the month of love.
  • Find a photographer to shadow/2nd shoot for at a wedding (or 10) to get ready for the 2 weddings I get to photograph this summer.
  • Get out of my comfort zone and reach out to other photographers and friends to let me practice my photography with them.
  • Watch my little brother play baseball at Minute Maid Park.
  • Have a craft day. I want to make a headboard and a wooden sign to hang in our guest bedroom but would be happy with just simple crafting too.
  • Spend time each night unwinding from they day by putting my phone in the back room and reading, watching TV, or baking.
  • Continue with #nospend2014 posts to keep me on track to buy NO clothes this whole year.
  • Schedule tax meeting and get our taxes completed so we can hopefully get a return that will go straight to savings. (oh grown up life)
  • Attend church services and continue with my Daily Devotional journal.
  • Schedule to meet up with a blog friend.
  • Work on my class book for my 2012-2013 friends. This class holds such a special place in my heart that I don't even know where to begin. And now this goal just reminded me that I need to make sure I am taking pictures of my classes this year to add to the book.
  • Work on being more decisive.
  • Mark something off of my "30 before 30" list.
  • Send 5 pieces of snail mail.
  • Work out at least 3 times a day.
  • Eat no fast food all month.
