The Modern Day Host | My Kleenex Style

When Michael and I bought our house, we spent a lot of time thinking about the theme that we wanted our house to have. Seems silly but in reality, all of our houses have those themes. One thing was for sure, through all the decoration ideas and the set up choices, we both wanted our house to remain welcoming and inviting. We didn't want people to come into our home and feel like they couldn't touch anything or had to search high and low for things that they needed.

One of the ways we did that was by stocking our guest bedroom and bathroom. When I was growing up, the houses of my parent's friends were always stocked in a way that I didn't feel like I needed to search high and low for things so having this same feeling in my own home was important. We added little kits to our bathroom that included extra toiletries and anything that someone might need if they stay over. One thing that we didn't really think to put any where was a box of Kleenex®. Texas is the reason for lots of runny noses thanks to the awesome pollen that floats around and messes with people's allergies. I'm sorry but when my nose is running, I refuse to use a piece of toilet paper to help me out. It's never as soft as my Kleenex® are and just doesn't do the job justice if you know what I mean.

With the new designs on their boxes, it feels like the tissues are just another decoration to add to your home. Michael and I had fun picking out one to match our house today. We wanted to have a box for our coffee table and one for our guest bedroom. The new style of the boxes makes it easy to leave it sitting out rather than trying to hide it because it doesn't match anything else in the room. I love when things match.
