Bank Holiday Beauty

A long weekend is prime time for an evening out, which of course means digging in your makeup stash for the products to see you through. This Bank Holiday we're all about bronzed eyes and sunkissed skin...

To start, we need a dewy base that is going to last well and promise perfect skin for the evening. NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser (£29) is that base, we can't fault the way it conceals every blemish yet still looks natural and sheer on the skin. It's a lovely Spring-appropriate option as it always looks radiant when applied, but never sweaty or uneven in the warm sun. It's a reliable base that will last you right the way through the evening too, although some of the oilier types may feel more confident with a touch of setting powder on the T-Zone.

Summer skin and Liz Earle Natural Glow Bronzer (£19.50) go hand in hand, in fact we're pretty sure we could call this an everyday staple for us. The rich colour blends without a hitch, promising a wash of bronze without any unnatural streaks - it really does look flawless.
You can sculpt the face and emphasise the features, all the while adding a soft, sunkissed glow to the skin. Add a little extra on collarbones for a golden glow.

The captivating Benefit Hervana Blush (£23.50) is a flattering hue for all year round wear, but we're really loving the cool, pink tones at this transitional awkward weather stage. The swirled tones of shell, peach, rose and berry are so awakening when applied - you wouldn't expect a blush to give the face so much shape, but Hervana does that and so much more.
The slight peachy shimmery really emphasises the cheekbones while the rosy tones add a gorgeous flush of colour - we adore.

Of course, any event should involve the effortless Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks (£20) - they promise easy definition and long lasting application, and the shade range is just divine. Seen here is Vanilla, a soft champagne that makes blending darker shades a dream, and Golden Bronze, a wearable rich chocolate shimmer.
Smudge them in to the lash line for the ultimate smoked up look, or apply and blend all over the lid for extra glamour - these are makeup bag essentials.

An evening look is rarely complete without a sweep of liner, at the moment we're loving the fine line this Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner (£5.99) gives. The sleek nib allows for a fluid application that stays put through just about anything.
The drenched pen promises loads of pigment and you can really create a winged effect with the easy to use nib. It's impossible to go wrong with, and we can't argue with the price either.
