Walgreens Paperless Coupons for the Win

Granted I consider myself a very organized person, I’ve always been a bit of a scatterbrain. I have great intentions – with To Do lists and “Important Boxes,” but always end up forgetting that one important thing. Recently I decided I wanted to be a coupon clipper. I organized all of my coupons in a fancy accordion folder that I could bring to the store with me. Then I forgot it… and continued to forget it every time I went to out shopping. I decided that there must be a solution!!… which I soon found in the form of the paperless coupons. Walgreens is one of the awesome stores offering such a genius invention. #WalgreensPaperless coupons and #Collectivebias turned me on to this awesome invention.

So here is how it works – you download the App. Then you pick your store (the one closest to you). You can check out the Weekly Ad, choose the items you want to buy, clip the coupons, and then BAM. You go to Walgreens, pick out your items, and at checkout, hand over your phone and they SCAN YOUR PHONE! That’s it! Of course, if you forgot your phone, you can enter your phone number. The best part is that you can see the weekly ad AND clip coupons all from your phone, which syncs right to your Balance Rewards account. That means you save money and get rewards points at the same time. Hot diggity dog.

This week I needed shampoo, conditioner, and some whitening mouth wash. Since going back to work I have taken up an unhealthy obsession with all drinks containing caffeine and my poor teeth are suffering. In comes the whitening mouthwash. I checked out Walgreens Weekly Ad on my iPhone App and was SO excited to discover coupons for Listerine and Herbal Essence. When I got to Walgreens, I discovered that the products I wanted to buy were right near the ad for the Clipless Coupons.

Just 5 steps away from this stand… I found my shampoo and conditioner!

I was able to save $3.90 using my clipless coupons, AND Walgreens had a special on Herbal Essence: Buy 2 for $8. I had quite the successful shopping trip and my husband was proud of my savings.
