Sick…. Again???

Runny nose, red eyes, ear infection, sore throat, coughing, respiratory infection… fever. Ever since Annabelle started baby school on August 1, she has been sick with all of the above. She’s been on antibiotics every other week – Amoxicillin, Cefdinir, Augmentin – and its like every time she finishes an antibiotic, she is sick again.

I know all babies get sick when they go to daycare for the first time. It takes awhile for their immune systems to adjust to all the new germs. But sick for TWO MONTHS? That just doesn’t seem right.

This morning when I dropped Annabelle off I thought she seemed a little sleepy. Her head was warm, but when I took her temp at home, it was normal. Her nose was runny, but she is teething. They just called and said she has a fever of 101.3.

My heart hurts for our poor little Annabelle. Being sick is no fun – especially when your Momma can’t be there to take care of you. My mother in law went to pick her up, and I know she will give her lots of hugs and kisses all day long, but it doesn’t make it any easier on me knowing that I can’t leave work.

Moms and Dads- Is there anything I can do to boost her immune system? How do I keep her from getting sick?!
