Thanks for tuning in to another edition of my 52 books in 52 weeks challenge. I'm tracking my progress on Goodreads, an awesome website that you should definitely check out, and maybe start your own reading challenge!

Man, I love this play. I've never seen it live, but I'm one of those people who loves reading play scripts for fun - it's like a novel to me. You can read it and your brain fills in everything else. I think that's why I hate to many book-to-movie adaptations. Even if there's nothing wrong, it's just not how I pictured it! Not so with the recent August: Osage County movie. I know 12 Years a Slave won best picture (and I really did enjoy that film) but AOC was by far my favorite movie of 2013.

I recommend both the play and the film (unless you're sensitive to language, they're both pretty heavy on the swearing). This was one of my re-reads of the year so I'm not counting it toward my book challenge, but what the heck, I loved it and wanted to share how great it is! I'm doing pretty well on my challenge, too! I'm ahead a few books. We'll see if it lasts.
