Practicing Perspective

I've been doodling a lot lately. Since my day job keeps me tethered during the week, and the weekends are full of catching up on the household, errands and other necessities, I've been taking screenshots of images that inspire me on Instagram & Tumblr. So, not exactly original, but it lets me practice. And after putting a beloved hobby on hold for over 30 (gulp) years, I do need the practice.

Many of the photos that have been inspiring me lately are of Paris. I haven't been there since 1983, and my dream is to go next year. My husband & I will be celebrating 25 years of marriage, and I really can't imagine a better place to go. I've gotten into the habit of sending him near-daily screen shots of Paris images. I'm sure he realizes there is no shortage of things to do, places to go and see, but I just want to make sure :)

I really love this image. The original is just a subtle (can't find, sorry!), with the pop of red of the Metro sign. I think my Tumblr will be my art blog. It just works.
