Life Inspiration :: Candy Crush

Happy Monday!

I choose to write my first post of the year not based, but on something I have been obsession over as of late.

I am sure most of you reading this have heard of a little puzzle game called Candy Crush Saga.

Like any successful game, it is extremely addictive. The innate reward system keeps the player coming back for more. Like any successful business, this game is also very good at making the user spend money, willingly.

So why am I talking about this? One of the reasons why I have been slightly MIA this festive season is because of this little game. Anything that can suck up that much of my time deserves a little recognition.

Also, I have been suffering from slight writer's block these days. This is my third year blogging now and this blog has given me ample fulfillment. I never thought I would be keeping up with a passion so keenly and consistently. However, I am slightly losing sight of why I first started to blog. For the last year, I have not always been writing about what I wanted to write about and struggling to find a focus. This might sound weird, but through the episodic and goal oriented game that is Candy Crush I have come to realize that setting goals and having something to strive for is a good thing.

For this year, I strive to write about what is genuine, and important to me and my belief.

It might take me a slightly longer time to produce the next post, but in the end it will be worth it.

Sometimes, you get stuck at a frustrating level in Candy Crush and you almost want to give up. But success will be rewarded to those who are patience and persistent. Not unlike life, sprinkled with a little luck, some skill and the right timing, anything is possible.
