Oreo Cool Whip Pie

Oreo Cool Whip Pie is very easy to make, and requires just 3 ingredients, as seen above. Oreo’s, Cool Whip, and an Oreo Pie Crust. I’m sure someone other than us thought of this first, but we’ve been making this for 18 years. We have a few variations, with other cookies and candy bars, but all use the Oreo Pie Crust and Cool Whip. I should also note that we don’t often buy Oreo’s, typically just for Thanksgiving and Christmas, as a treat. It’s my kids favorite pie! The process is pretty easy and self-explanatory, but for visual learners, like myself, I took pictures of the process.

These are the three simple ingredients.

Next, I take my chopper (this one happens to be from Pampered Chef, circa 1999ish) and load it with broken up pieces of Oreo’s. Then, I crush them! I do a few at a time, and use about half the package. You can use more or less, there’s no “right” amount. I put the entire container of Cool Whip into a mixing bowl, and add the crushed pieces of Oreo’s, and stir when they’re all crushed up. Pour the mixture into the pie crust. Refrigerate about 2 hours before serving, and keep refrigerated except when serving. Simple, easy, and a family favorite!

I found this “The Pampered Chef Cutting Edge Food Chopper” on Amazon, and it’s the item I have. It’s listed at $50.25 right now – I can guarantee you I did NOT pay that much years ago. I don’t know any Pampered Chef consultants, and I don’t know if it’s still available from them, or how much the current price should be. I found am Oxo Good Grips Vegetable/Herb Chopper on Amazon too, currently at $19.99 – that’s much closer to what I probably paid. I use my chopper several times a week, and have for years, so it IS an item I’d recommend having in your kitchen, regardless of the brand.
