Milo | BoBunny Happy Tails and MakeMyChe

I'm on the BoBunny blog today sharing a home decor / art piece that I created using the Happy Tails collection. I started with a wire form character from My Ché, a local Cleveland based business that makes these fabulous paper maché kits in all these adorable shapes. They were initially created to let kids create real art using paper maché and paint. From the moment I first saw them, my brain started swimming with different ways to create and play with them. I fell in love and I knew immediately that I wanted to add my own paper crafter flair to them by using some of my scrapbooking supplies instead of paper maché!

This is the Milo wire frame with nothing on it. He is begging for some color and texture isn't he?!

Next, I selected various yellow papers from the BoBunny Happy Tails collection and Double Dot Cardstock and tore them into strips. I wrapped them around the frame like this.

I found it easier to lightly dampen the paper with water using a spray bottle and then I adhered the paper around the frame using Helmar Super-Tac Glue.

This gives you a view of the back side of the frame with the paper wrapped around it.

Here is the back side of the frame once I had the project completed. My husband said he kind of liked this side better! What do you think? To see the completed Milo, visit the BoBunny blog and let me know which side you prefer!
