Trend Alert: Cool Cobalt Blue Decor

With autumn on our tail, you’d think we would be starting to think about warm, earthy colors, but in 2014 we’re moving away from the home decor status quo. This fall we’re going to see a spike in cool saturated colors making its way into homes, specifically the striking cobalt blue. This gorgeous shade works perfectly in almost any room. It’s relaxing in your bedroom, enticing in a living room and clean in your kitchen. It’s a beautiful color to use on your walls, or, if you’re just trying it out, as an accent color. Pair it with yellows for a high contrast look, or with different shades of blues and grays for a more muted approach.
