Coral & Aqua Whimsical Garden Wedding

My favorite kind of couples are the ones who don’t take themselves too seriously. The couples who opt for a wedding of whimsy and color, and make their special day one epic party. It’s exactly the approach Eric and Sarah took for their Florida garden nuptials, and thanks to the fabulous Miranda Hattie Events, it went off without a hitch. From the Groom… At first, Sarah and I had a picture of a crafty, casual, Kinfolk-style wedding, but as we went through the planning process, the “guest experience” became more and more important. Our biggest concern was that the wedding felt devoid of pretense, not stuffy or overly formal, but rather casual, simple, and easy. We wanted our guests to feel like guests, like they were getting a weekend away with friends. Everything from the decor to the experience design stemmed from this idea of ease. We hope it was successful too, making something feel easy actually takes a lot of work!

Sarah and I spent most of the cocktail hour and dinner trying to spend a few minutes with every single person that made it to our wedding, so naturally both of those stages of the evening vanished in a blink of an eye. Right around 10pm, our guests were invited from the dinner area to the terrace for deserts, coffee, and dancing, and we hadn’t had a chance to sit or eat the entire evening. As the pavilion emptied out, our table of 12 stayed behind and in the middle of the chaos that is a wedding, we had this very intimate, calming 30 minutes to eat, drink and laugh with with some of our most cherished friends.
