Apparently I have a thing for birds.

First, it was the Halloween crows.

Now, I'm working on some cutie-patootie doves for my New Year's Eve items for the upcoming faire.

So cute.

I love how well they can hold a teeny tiny message for the season, like "Happy New Year" or "2015". I am thinking they could spread Happy Birthday wishes, as well. (Can you picture that?)

In case you're wondering, I buy my birds at the Dollar Store.

You know I heart the Dollar Store. For one thing, it's in my budget. For another, they always seem to have the stuff higher end stores have, or at least it looks like the same stuff, and...well, I can buy it for a buck.

I take it home, and foofy it up. Here is a hat in progress.

I'm going to string a banner between the birds....
