Lost Art Salon & Project Pied-a-Terre
One of my most joyful afternoons of recent was spent with the co-founder and co-creator of
Lost Art Salon in San Francisco.
If you've been on
Serena and Lily lately, then you're familiar with some of
the works from Lost Art Salon..... but this.....straight from
their website is the down-low on Lost Art Salon...
"Lost Art Salon is a San Francisco-based gallery that specializes in the rediscovery of historically significant artists and fine art collections reflecting the major styles and movements of the Modern Era. Open to the public, the gallery's showroom offers over 5,000 paintings, drawings, prints, photographs and objects from the late 19th Century through the present, with a strong emphasis on 20th Century Modernism." Gaetan Caron (on left)......
was incredibly welcoming and generous with his time in helping me pick out some special art selections for my
Project Pied-a-Terre clients.
I came in with this photo of the living room of
Project Pied-a-Terre -- which features a painting from my own collection that I used for the photo shoot of this property.
Gaetan analyzed his inventory and regaled me with fascinating historical information on the artists he selected that would look perfect in this property.
I've photoshopped the art selections into the space, so you can see how great they all work with the scheme:
I'll keep you posted on what my client selects!
And seriously, if you are in San Francisco, you must go to....
Lost Art Salon!
Cheers!
