Southern California road trip elopement

We sure love a southern California inspiration shoot around here—especially when it involves a sweet vintage VW van. That’s obvious, you say? When you see the rest of these photos by Hailley Howard in this spread by Cargo Creative you’ll so get it. Based on a couple of free spirits fulfilling their wanderlust in Laguna Beach, they look like everything you’d want to feel on your wedding day: relaxed, in love, and so very happy.

Hailley Shannon wanted to design a roadtrip elopement that would inspire the wanderlust spirit in all of us, and they’re oh so convincing.

Looking dapper in Topshop Apolis!

Shannon went with a simple bouquet, crown, and minimal props in order to keep the story realistic and focus on the couple’s free-spirited, bohemian lifestyle. She says, I played up the brown, deep orange and mustard colors of the van contrasted with navy and some berry and blush tones.

They really scored with a friends’ 60s van for the occasion.

Shannon of Cargo Creative says, From the ceremony beneath a gnarled tree, to the dry desert-like canyon, the ivy-overgrown tunnel, and sunset on the beach, we shot at a variety of locations to create the story of their road trip romance.

Quite the cozy little spot on the beach, we think.

Kudos to the team below for inspiring us today…
