Free Printable Matchbook Wedding Favors

After creating my project gallery last weekend, it occurred to me that the wedding printable section was looking a little bare, and that it had been almost a year since I had shared a wedding printable, period. Damn all those holidays getting in the way! I hope the wait was worth it, because today, I’m super excited to share these matchbox wedding favors!

These little labels were designed in two different colors — white and chalkboard with a separate design for the front and back. With the exception of the phrase “The Perfect Match”, all of the text is customizable when you open it in Adobe Acrobat. If you’d like to use the same font that I used in the sample, you can download it here for free. You can follow this handy-dandy guide if you need help typing your text in. Don’t want to customize it? You can use it as is, and it will still look pretty!

This printable/craft/DIY project is so simple that it almost doesn’t need instructions. All you need to do is download this PDF, type in your initials (you will need to download it before you will be able to type), names and wedding date, print, cut them out, and stick them onto your matchboxes using double sided tape.

I can tell you from my wild goose chase that the hardest part of this project will be tracking down matchboxes. Apparently the world (or at least the US) has completely moved over to using lighters. Maybe you will have better luck in your local area, but I was unable to find any in Walgreens, CVS, Target or Costco. I finally DID find them in Publix, but save yourself the trouble and just buy them from Amazon. You can’t go wrong with 10 boxes for under $5.00!

I challenge you to find a wedding favor that is this easy AND this inexpensive. And that looks so pretty (I may be a little biased on that one). Drop me a line in the comments to let me know if you were able to use these for your wedding (or anniversary party!). I love hearing and seeing where my designs are used. If there’s a printable that you need for your wedding that I haven’t shared yet, let me know and I’ll add it to my roster!

To download the font used for the customizable type, called AW Conqueror Slab Light, click here (it’s free). The “The Perfect Match” font is called Risotto Script (paid font, but on super sale til May 20th!)
