My last outfit during Paris Fashion Week before heading back home. It was very, very hard to leave our beautiful little flat in Le Marais. Paris was probably the only city in the entire 4 week circuit that I had a moment to enjoy just being. Then again Paris is unique in that it encourages aimless wandering and long walks. I think most of my best restaurant/cafe/patisserie discoveries were chanced upon. This also resulted in 1, 2, sometimes 3 ‘treats’ a day, which for this self-professed nutritional zealot is a lot. But hey, when in France, do as the French do right?
As for this blue wonder of an outfit. This was probably my most put-together. As predicted, the fashion game intensified as we deepened into the fashion month tour. From New York to Paris, the landscape shifted quite noticeably. People are dressed well yes, in every city, but you notice things get much more serious in Europe. Understandably so. To avoid rambling on and on (I’m a little jet-lagged, so excuse the tangential nature) I learned and absorbed a lot of style in every city. But Paris, especially. If I had it my way, I’d just steep myself in Paris…maybe a month, maybe two, maybe forever.
