Let´s face it, it´s great when music speaks your mind, when your thoughts match the lyrics of a song, right?. Well, this happened to me last week when i heard the song "Stronger Than Me" on “Nashville”. I heard those lines and made them my own. They suddenly became my voice. There are times when you get tired of life, you have so much love to give and you realise that love is not fully taken like you thought it was. Your hungry heart simply wants more however, reality is hardly ever ready to take notes and it is then when you start questioning your ´now´.You ride an endless road of "how-s" and "why-s", only to end up knowing that the best solution is
´usual friends, old vinyls and specially a damn big old drink´.
It´s one of those “pour me some whiskey and leave the bottle” kind of moments.

I have to admit that girlfriends, booze and music brought by the lovely EmmyLou Harris and Linda Ronstadt was enough.
What better ladies to sing about fragile hearts and good old booze, right?. And for one night only, we enjoyed the exclusive company of two that we knew would never break our hearts: Jack D and J&B. Believe me, you can always trust those pals. Anyway, when the ice melted and there was no whiskey left, we came to the conclusion that the universe might get a little bit confused sometimes. Men try to figure us out as if we were puzzles when all they have to do is love us
the way they love their Harleys, their leather or their favorite stack of vinyls. Who said we want a prince charming waiting for us with a glass slipper in his hand? Nowadays, we just want to have our own twisted fairy tale. We are only searching for someone whose demons play well with ours. Is that too much to ask?
After all, EmmyLou is right, it´s easy to fill the heart of a thirsty woman. Some men just need to know how.
